Party to celebrate 95 Years of Voter Service

CINCINNATI (January 20, 2015) - The League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area will celebrate nearly a century of providing Greater Cincinnati voters with the resources they need to be informed voters with the 95th Anniversary Celebration.
  • When: Saturday, Feb. 14, 2 - 4 p.m.
  • Where: The Phoenix Cincinnati, 812 Race St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
Centering on its Valentine's Day theme, the event will feature passed hors d'oeuvres and tasting stations of chocolate, appetizers, a signature cocktail and wine pairings. What's a party without presents? The silent auction will be a great place to find that special something for your Valentine.

"While this promises to be a great time, this is more than just an excuse to party," said Don Rhoad, League Co-President. "This event supports our local nonpartisan voter education efforts."

The League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area provides our Who & What of Elections Voter's Guide, Vote411.org, They Represent Us Public Officials Guide, our voter hotline at 281-VOTE, voter registration events and candidate and issues forums at no cost. All proceeds benefit LWVCA's Education Fund, a tax-exempt charity.    "The League is committed to making democracy work for our community," said Rhoad. "As we come upon our 95th birthday, we are excited to mark this milestone with our supporters."

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization and does not support or oppose any candidate or party. Information about the League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area may be found online at lwvcincinnati.org.
